Frequently Asked Questions

Does the realme 9 5G support fast charging?

Fast charging support for the Realme 9 5G Speed is not confirmed in the supplied specs, so a charging wattage should not be assumed from this data. The listed battery capacity is 5000mAh, which is a large cell for all-day use. If charging speed is a key buying factor, check the retail box, regional Realme product page, or charger rating for the exact wattage before purchase.

Is the realme 9 5G Speed Edition good for gaming?

The Realme 9 5G Speed Edition is a strong mid-range gaming phone thanks to its Snapdragon 778G 5G chipset and 144Hz display. Its 6.6-inch screen with 1080x2412 resolution gives games a sharp Full HD+ view, while the high refresh rate can make supported titles feel smoother. The 6GB RAM and 128GB storage configuration suits everyday gaming, and the 5000mAh battery helps with longer play sessions.

How to force 5G on realme?

You can try to enable 5G on a Realme phone by going to Settings, opening Mobile Network or SIM settings, and selecting a preferred network mode that includes 5G. On the Realme 9 5G Speed, the Snapdragon 778G 5G chipset supports 5G connectivity, but 5G will only work with a compatible SIM, active 5G plan, and 5G coverage in your area. Some carriers or software versions may not allow a true “5G only” lock, so the phone may automatically fall back to 4G when signal quality is better.

How old is realme 9 5G?

The Realme 9 5G Speed Edition is from the 2022 Realme 9 series generation, making it about four years old as of 2026. It still has competitive hardware for its age, including the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G 5G processor, a 144Hz 6.6-inch display, and a 5000mAh battery. Buyers should consider software update status and battery health carefully if purchasing it used or refurbished.
