Frequently Asked Questions
Is the OPPO A57 still using WhatsApp?
The Oppo A57s can still run WhatsApp as long as the phone has a supported Android version and access to the Google Play Store or a valid WhatsApp install source. The device is an Android phone, and its 4GB RAM and 64GB storage are enough for normal WhatsApp messaging, calls, media sharing, and backups. Users should keep WhatsApp and the phone software updated to maintain compatibility and security. If storage fills up, clearing large videos and chats can help WhatsApp continue running smoothly.
Is the OPPO A57 an old model?
The Oppo A57s is an older budget model because it was introduced in 2022 rather than as part of Oppo’s latest lineup. Its hardware reflects that positioning, with a MediaTek Helio G35 12nm chipset, 4GB RAM, a 720x1612 display, and a 60Hz refresh rate. Those specs are still usable for basic tasks, but they are behind newer mid-range phones with faster processors, higher-resolution screens, and higher refresh rates. Buyers should consider it mainly for affordability, battery life, and simple Android use.
When was the Oppo A57s launched?
The Oppo A57s was announced on August 31, 2022, with market availability following after that in selected regions. It arrived as a budget Android smartphone with a 6.56-inch display, MediaTek Helio G35 chipset, and 5000mAh battery. Oppo lists memory options including 4GB + 64GB and 4GB + 128GB, depending on market availability. Its 2022 launch date is why the Oppo A57s is best compared with budget phones rather than newer premium models.
