Frequently Asked Questions
What is the disadvantage of vivo phones?
A common disadvantage of vivo phones is that they can depreciate quickly in resale value as newer models are released frequently. This means an older vivo device may become less attractive in the second-hand market compared with the latest budget or mid-range alternatives. For buyers considering the vivo Y37, the low upfront price can help offset this, but resale value should still be part of the purchase decision.
Does the vivo Y37 support 5G?
The vivo Y37 variant associated with the Dimensity 6300 chipset supports 5G connectivity. This makes the vivo Y37 suitable for users who want a budget phone with access to faster mobile data where 5G networks are available. Its 5000mAh battery also fits the 5G use case, since mobile data and streaming can draw more power during daily use.
Is the Vivo Y37 a new model?
The vivo Y37 described here is the newer Y37 5G-era model, not the older vivo Y37 with a 5.5-inch display, Snapdragon 615, 2GB RAM, 16GB storage, and 2720mAh battery. This newer vivo Y37 configuration lists a 6.56-inch display, Dimensity 6300 chipset, 4GB RAM, 128GB storage, and a 5000mAh battery. That makes it much more aligned with current budget Android phone expectations than the older model referenced in some search results.
