Frequently Asked Questions
What are the pros and cons of the XR21?
The HMD XR21’s main strengths are its rugged design, 5G connectivity, 120Hz display, and long battery life. It has a 6.49-inch 1080x2400 screen, Snapdragon 695 5G chipset, 6GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, and a 4800mAh battery that HMD describes as lasting up to 2 days. The main drawbacks are that the Snapdragon 695 is a mid-range processor and the 6GB/128GB configuration may feel modest for buyers expecting flagship-level performance at around USD 649 or EUR 600.
Is HMD a good phone brand?
HMD is a credible phone brand for buyers who value practical Android smartphones, durability, and broad carrier compatibility. The HMD XR21 is positioned as a tough, reliable device for adventure use, with weather-ready ruggedness, data protection, and up to 2 days of battery life. It is also listed as working with major GSM carriers including AT&T, T-Mobile, Cricket, Metro, Boost, and Tracfone, which makes it a flexible unlocked option in supported markets.
How to hard reset Nokia XR21?
A Nokia XR21 or HMD XR21-style Android phone can be hard reset by using the factory reset option in Android settings or by using recovery mode if the phone will not start normally. From the phone, go to Settings, open System, choose Reset options, and select Erase all data or Factory reset; this removes apps, accounts, photos, and local files. If the device is locked or not booting, power it off, use the hardware-button recovery method for the model, choose Wipe data/factory reset, then reboot; after reset, Android may require the previously synced Google account for security.
