Frequently Asked Questions
Is HONOR still owned by Huawei?
The provided Honor V40 5G specifications and search context do not state whether HONOR is still owned by Huawei. Based on the available device information, the phone is identified as an Honor-branded Android smartphone with a MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ chipset. For buyers comparing brand ownership or software support, this question should be verified from an official HONOR company source rather than inferred from the V40 5G specs.
Is the V40 a good phone?
The Honor V40 5G is a strong mid-range 5G phone on paper, especially for buyers who want a large high-refresh display and fast charging. It has a 6.72-inch 120Hz screen, a 7nm MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ processor, 8GB RAM, and 128GB storage in the provided configuration. The 4000mAh battery is paired with 66W fast charging, with the search context noting a claimed full charge in about 35 minutes, plus 5W reverse charging.
Is it better to have a 4G or 5G phone?
A 5G phone like the Honor V40 5G is the better choice if you want newer network support and plan to keep the device for several years. The V40 5G uses the MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ chipset and is designed for 5G connectivity, while still being suitable for normal smartphone tasks such as browsing, streaming, and gaming. A 4G phone may be enough in areas without 5G coverage, but the Honor V40 5G gives buyers more future-ready network capability at its listed price range.
