Frequently Asked Questions
Is Honor Play a gaming phone?
The Honor Play 40 Plus is not a dedicated gaming phone, but it can handle casual and moderate Android games. It uses a MediaTek Dimensity 700 5G chipset with 6GB RAM and a 6.74-inch 90Hz display, which helps make scrolling and supported games feel smoother. Its 720x1600 resolution and budget-class processor mean it is better suited to everyday gaming than high-end titles at maximum graphics settings.
Does Honor Play have NFC?
NFC is not confirmed for the Honor Play 40 Plus in the provided specifications, so buyers should not assume it supports contactless payments. The listed specs focus on the 6.74-inch 90Hz display, Dimensity 700 chipset, 6GB RAM, 128GB storage, and 6000mAh battery. If NFC is important for Google Wallet, transit cards, or tap-to-pay, check the exact regional Honor Play 40 Plus model listing before purchase.
Is HONOR still Huawei?
HONOR is no longer Huawei; it operates as a separate smartphone brand after being sold by Huawei in 2020. The Honor Play 40 Plus is therefore sold under the Honor brand, even though older Honor phones were originally part of Huawei’s smartphone lineup. For buyers, this distinction matters most for software support, regional availability, and service policies, which should be checked for the specific Honor Play 40 Plus market version.
