vivo has opened pre-orders for the vivo Y600 in China. The phone has a 10,000mAh battery, the largest vivo has put in a standard Y600 model. Prices start at 1,999 yuan (about $280) for the base version. Pre-orders began on October 26. Sales start on October 30.
vivo is promoting the battery as the main feature of the phone. The Y600 also holds a Guinness World Records title from an endurance test the company ran earlier this year.

The Y600 is available in four memory configurations in China:

The vivo phone comes in three colors: Sapphire Blue, Diamond Gold and Obsidian Black. vivo has not announced plans to sell the Y600 outside China.
10,000mAh Battery Backed by a Guinness World Record
1. Battery and Charging
The 10,000mAh silicon-carbon battery is a large step up from the 8,200mAh cell in the vivo Y500 released last year. vivo says the phone can last about two days on a single charge with typical use, making it a compelling option for users looking for big battery phones that can keep up with demanding daily usage.
To support that claim, vivo ran a continuous livestream test on August 11, 2026. The phone streamed for 32 hours and 37 minutes before the battery ran out. Guinness World Records recognized the result as the longest livestream test for an electronic product.
Charging is rated at 44W wired. The Y600 also supports reverse wired charging, so it can charge earbuds, a smartwatch or another phone through a USB-C cable.
2. Design and Build
Despite the large battery, the phone is only 8.59mm thick. It measures 163.9 x 76.5mm and weighs 224 grams. That is noticeable in the hand but light for a phone with this battery size.
The vivo Y600 has a flat frame and a rectangular camera module on the back. The module houses two lenses, with a label marking the 50MP main camera and its aspherical lens.
3. Display, Performance and Cameras
The front has a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a 2800 x 1260 resolution. It supports a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR content and 10-bit color. Early spec listings put its high-brightness mode at about 2,000 nits.
The phone runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 7300e. This 6nm chip is designed for midrange phones and focuses on efficiency over raw power. It is paired with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. The Y600 runs OriginOS 6 based on Android 16.
On the back, a 50MP main camera with an f/1.8 aperture handles most photography. An 8MP front camera is used for selfies and video calls.

How the Y600 Compares With the vivo S2 FE and Y500
The Y600 is closely related to two phones vivo already sells in other markets. These are the vivo S2 FE in India and the vivo V80 Lite in Malaysia. All three share the Dimensity 7300e chip and the 10,000mAh battery. Guinness World Records lists all three names for the device used in the record test.
The main difference is the front camera. The S2 FE and V80 Lite have a 32MP selfie camera. The Y600 drops to 8MP, which helps vivo keep the price lower in China.
Compared with last year’s Y500, the Y600 adds about 1,800mAh of battery capacity and a slightly larger screen, 6.83 inches versus 6.77 inches.
What Is Still Unconfirmed
Several details have appeared in leaks but have not been confirmed by vivo:
- Water and dust resistance. Some reports say the phone has IP68 and IP69 ratings. vivo has not confirmed this.
- Secondary rear camera. The camera module has two lenses, but vivo has only detailed the 50MP main sensor.
- International launch. No release outside China has been announced. Buyers in India can get similar hardware in the vivo S2 FE.
What Comes Next
The Y600 joins the Y600 Pro, Y600 Turbo and Y600i in the vivo lineup in China. The Y600 Pro remains the battery leader in the series with a 10,200mAh cell and 90W charging. The standard Y600 offers most of that battery capacity at a lower price.
