For most buyers, though, the Honor Magic9 Pro Max looks like the safer and stronger everyday phone. Its 6.8-inch 120Hz screen is already large, it has more RAM, and the 8800mAh battery is a huge advantage over the Oppo’s 5000mAh pack. That difference matters far more in daily use than a small bump in display size, especially if you game, travel, stream a lot, or simply dislike battery anxiety.

So unless the folding form factor is the main reason you’re buying, the Honor is the one I’d lean toward. The Oppo is about screen experience; the Honor is about lasting longer and feeling better equipped for heavy use.
